About

Triangle Lake Campsites provide rustic camping in the heart of the Ironjaw Semi-Primitive Area within the Hiawatha National Forest. The campground consists of two dispersed sites on Triangle Lake, a 169-acre lake known for its strong fishery of northern pike, smallmouth bass, bluegill, crappie, and perch. Site 1 is a long, narrow site measuring approximately 100 ft x 30 ft, located on a sandy strip between the lake and a small wetland pond. It can accommodate up to three families and trailers, with a maximum of 24 people and 4 vehicles. The site offers excellent swimming conditions and boat access, though the sandy boat launch has limited turn-around space and carry-in access is recommended. A primitive toilet is available at this site. Site 2 is a smaller 40 ft x 40 ft site located in a wooded lowland, suitable for one family with a maximum of 8 people and 2 vehicles. Swimming is not recommended at this site, and there is no boat access. Trailers are discouraged due to limited turn-around space. Both sites are located on the non-motorized Pine Marten Run Trail and allow horse camping. The rustic environment features no drinking water, electricity, or hookups. Campers must pack out all trash and can collect dead and down firewood from the surrounding area. A 14-day stay limit applies.
