About

Trail Creek Bridge Campground is a BLM-managed semi-developed camping area situated along the scenic Blackfoot River in southeastern Idaho. The campground offers 6 sites: 4 located downriver and 2 upriver, with the upriver sites better suited for larger groups. All sites operate on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservation system and no fees. Amenities are basic but functional: each site has a picnic table and fire ring, and the campground has a vault toilet. An undeveloped boat put-in/take-out provides access for non-motorized watercraft. The 23-mile stretch of river from Government Dam to Trail Creek Bridge is floatable, though paddlers should note that rapids below Trail Creek Bridge reach Class IV and above. This is a pack-in, pack-out campground with no dumpsters, potable water, or hookups. Visitors should come prepared with drinking water and supplies. Popular activities include fishing for trout, camping under starry skies, and floating the Blackfoot River.
