About
Kelly Island Campground is a semi-developed Bureau of Land Management site nestled in a cottonwood gallery forest along the South Fork of the Snake River, offering scenic views of the Snake River Range foothills. The campground provides 14 single campsites and one large group site that can accommodate 30-35 people and up to 4 large RVs. The campground features vault toilets, a central water spigot, pull-through sites, picnic tables, fire pits/rings, and a day-use area. Seasonal camp hosts are available during the operating season. The location provides excellent access to trout fishing along the Snake River, with additional opportunities for hiking, boating, wildlife viewing, and OHV riding in the surrounding area. Single sites are first-come, first-served at $10 per night for single occupancy or $20 for double occupancy. The group site can be reserved by calling the Upper Snake Field Office. No electrical hookups are available, and ATVs are not allowed to be ridden within the campground. Access is via gravel road approximately 23 miles northeast of Idaho Falls.

Approximately 23 miles northeast of Idaho Falls. Cross Heise Bridge and continue towards Kelly Canyon. After 2.3 miles, continue straight onto gravel road as the paved road veers left toward Kelly Canyon. Drive one-half mile and turn right at the Kelly Island Campground sign.
