The campground features 4 semi-developed campsites available on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservation system in place. Each site is equipped with a picnic table and fire ring, and the campground also includes vault toilets and a horseshoe pit for recreation. The campground provides an undeveloped put-in/take-out for floaters looking to explore the Blackfoot River by kayak, canoe, or raft. Fishing opportunities abound along the river, which is known for its trout populations. The rustic, semi-developed nature of the campground makes it ideal for campers seeking a more primitive experience along the water. There are no fees associated with camping at Sage Hen Flats, and there are no dumpsters on site, so visitors must pack in and pack out all trash.
