About
Sage Hen Flats Campground is a semi-developed BLM recreation site situated along the Blackfoot River in southeastern Idaho. The campground offers four sites on a first-come, first-served basis with no fees and no reservation system. It's part of a chain of BLM campgrounds along the river corridor that includes Trail Creek Bridge, Morgan's Bridge, Graves Creek, and Cutthroat Trout. The site provides basic amenities including vault toilets, picnic tables at each site, and fire rings. A horseshoe pit adds a recreational option, and an undeveloped boat put-in/take-out allows floaters to access the river with canoes, kayaks, or small rafts for non-motorized boating. The Blackfoot River here supports fishing opportunities. This is a pack-it-in, pack-it-out campground with no dumpsters, trash service, or potable water. Campers should arrive self-sufficient with their own water supply and be prepared to carry out all waste. Maximum stay is 14 days.
