About
Trail Creek Campground is located on the banks of Trail Creek along scenic Teton Pass in the Caribou-Targhee National Forest. At 6,600 feet elevation, the 10 single-family sites are set in an open grassy meadow lined with Douglas fir, spruce, and aspen trees. Many sites back directly onto the creek, offering convenient access to fishing for Yellowstone cutthroat and brook trout.
The campground provides vault toilets, drinking water from faucets, and trash collection. Each site is equipped with a picnic table, fire ring with grill, and food storage locker to secure items from wildlife including moose and deer that frequent the area. Gravel roads and parking spurs accommodate RVs, though specific length limits are not posted.
The Mikesell Canyon Trail for hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding begins 2 miles away at Mike Harris Campground. Grand Teton National Park's Granite Entrance is 20 miles distant, Jackson, Wyoming is 17 miles away, and Grand Targhee Resort offers summer activities including lift-served hiking, mountain biking, and disc golf.
Directions
