About

Palisades Creek Campground is nestled in Palisades Creek Canyon along the banks of Palisades Creek within the Caribou-Targhee National Forest's Palisades Ranger District. Situated at 5,900 feet elevation, the campground is surrounded by tall lodgepole pines and summer wildflowers. The site offers 5 single-family sites and 2 double-family sites, each equipped with picnic tables and campfire rings. The Palisades Creek Trail begins at the campground, leading hikers and horseback riders through non-motorized trails to Lower and Upper Palisades Lakes in the rugged Palisades Backcountry. Fishing is available along the creek, though it's closed from April 1 to June 30. Palisades Reservoir and the South Fork of the Snake River are just minutes away, offering additional fishing and boating opportunities. A full-time campground host is on-site during the operating season, and firewood is available for purchase. The campground features vault toilets and drinking water when operating with fees. Roads and parking spurs are gravel. ATVs and motorcycles are not allowed in the campground.
