Tough Creek Campground occupies a scenic peninsula location within Boysen State Park, offering direct access to the expansive Boysen Reservoir. The campground provides approximately 65 campsites with proximity to a boat launch and protected bay area, making it an ideal base for anglers and water enthusiasts. Located near Shoshoni, Wyoming, the park sits along the Wind River, which notably flows north through the dramatic Wind River Canyon. The reservoir spans 19,560 acres with 76 miles of shoreline, providing ample opportunities for boating, fishing, and water sports. The campground's peninsula setting offers scenic views and easy lake access, while the surrounding area features interesting geological formations and wildlife viewing opportunities.

Directions

From Shoshoni, Wyoming, head north on US-20 for approximately 12 miles. Turn left onto Boysen Reservoir Road and continue for about 2 miles to reach Tough Creek Campground within Boysen State Park.
