Topsy Campground

Open

Open for the 2026 season as of May 13. The campground operates seasonally from May through October on a first-come, first-served basis. 14-day stay limit enforced.

About

Topsy Campground provides a quiet retreat on the upper Klamath River in the Fremont-Winema region of southern Oregon. Set in an open ponderosa pine forest, the campground offers scenic views of Mt. McLaughlin and the southern Cascade Mountains. The 13 campsites are equipped with picnic tables, fire rings, and tent pads. The campground features drinking water, vault restrooms with universal accessibility, an RV dump station, and trash service. Camp hosts are on site throughout the season. The adjacent day-use area includes a concrete boat ramp and boarding dock for river access, as well as an accessible fishing pier. Topsy serves as an excellent base camp for exploring the remote Upper Klamath River canyon by jeep or taking the scenic 30-mile drive to the High Lakes region in the Fremont-Winema National Forest.

Directions

From Klamath Falls, drive west for 20 miles on State Highway 66, passing through the town of Keno. Turn left onto the graveled Topsy Road. Drive 1.5 miles on Topsy Road to the campground.
