About
Juanita Lake Group Campsite offers a private group camping experience adjacent to 55-acre Juanita Lake in California's Klamath National Forest. Set at 5,130 feet elevation in a partially shaded ponderosa pine forest, this lakefront site is positioned away from the main campground for group privacy. The site accommodates 50 people with a minimum of 5, and up to 15 vehicles across four parking areas. Amenities include eight picnic tables, a large group campfire ring, four pedestal grills, eight lantern hangers, two vault toilets, and five bear-proof trash receptacles. RVs and trailers up to 25 feet are permitted, though the site is better suited for tent camping groups. Non-potable water is available, but campers must bring their own drinking water. The lake is excellent for small watercraft including rowboats, rafts, and canoes, with a paved boat launch and seasonal dock. No motors are permitted. The lake is stocked with trout and has bass and catfish populations. A 1.5-mile paved barrier-free trail circles the lake with two fishing jetties. Bald eagles and osprey regularly fish the lake, making it a prime bird watching location.
