Martin's Dairy Campground occupies a tranquil location on the edge of a mountain meadow where the Little Shasta River begins in Klamath National Forest. This small, intimate campground features 6 campsites in a scenic alpine setting surrounded by forest and meadow. The campground provides basic amenities including vault toilets and campsite tables and firepits. Located along Forest Service Road 46N12, the campground sits at elevation and offers a peaceful retreat away from more developed areas. The meadow setting provides opportunities for wildlife viewing, plant observation, fishing in the Little Shasta River, and swimming during warmer months. Access requires travel on Forest Service roads including FSR 70 and FSR 46N12. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with a 14-day camping limit and allows two vehicles per site. Dogs are permitted on leash.
Directions
From I-5 in Weed, travel northwest on US Highway 97 approximately 28 miles to Forest Service Road 70 (1 mile south of Mount Hebron summit). Turn west approximately 11 miles to Forest Service Road 46N12. Turn left on 46N12 for 2 miles to the campground. From the north traveling south on Highway 97, turn west approximately 3.8 miles south of Macdoel on Ball Mountain Road, continue 6.4 miles to Forest Route 70, turn north on Forest Route 70 for 4.1 miles to FSR 46N12, then left for 2 miles to the campground.
