About

Toll Mountain Campground offers a quiet forest retreat on the eastern side of the Highland Mountain Range in the Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest. Located approximately 20 miles east of Butte, the campground provides 5 units suitable for tents and small trailers up to 22 feet. A creek runs near the campground, adding to the tranquil setting ideal for weekend getaways. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no fees and no reservations. Amenities are basic: vault toilets and picnic tables are provided, but there is no potable water. Campers must bring their own drinking water and pack out all trash. A mandatory food storage order is in effect, and the stay limit is 16 days. Access is via a gravel road suitable for passenger vehicles. From Butte, take MT Highway 2 for approximately 18 miles, then turn left onto Forest Service Road 240 (Radar Creek Road) and continue about 3 miles to the campground entrance.
