About

Delmoe Lake Campground occupies a forested setting along a scenic reservoir in the Whitetail-Pipestone area of the Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest. The lake is a man-made reservoir managed by the Pipestone Water Users for irrigation, so water levels fluctuate throughout the summer. The campground provides 25 sites for tents and trailers up to 32 feet, vault toilets, potable water via hand pump, and garbage containers. Firewood is generally available within the campground area. The adjacent picnic area features tables and a boat launch primarily used for fishing. The surrounding Whitetail-Pipestone area is a popular destination for OHV enthusiasts, with trail access nearby. The gravel access road is suitable for passenger vehicles. The campground typically operates from Memorial Day weekend through mid-September, weather dependent, with a 16-day stay limit. Food storage requirements apply due to wildlife in the area.
