About
Divide Bridge Campground is one of nine BLM-managed recreation sites located along a 73-mile stretch of the Big Hole River between Wisdom and Melrose in southwest Montana. Situated at 5,400 feet elevation and encompassing 80 acres, the campground offers 21 camping units, each equipped with a picnic table and fire ring. The facility includes a boat ramp for river access, restrooms, potable water during the operating season, night lights, and an information kiosk with a volunteer host. The Big Hole River is famous for its blue ribbon trout fishing and provides excellent opportunities for float boating, with optimal rafting conditions typically from mid-May through late July. The campground is conveniently located approximately 30 miles south of Butte, accessible via the Divide Exit from I-15, with sites located south and west of Divide along Montana Highway 43. The recreation area serves as a popular destination for anglers, boaters, and campers seeking access to one of Montana's premier fishing rivers.
