About

Divide Bridge Campground is one of nine BLM-managed recreation sites along a 73-mile stretch of the Big Hole River between Wisdom and Melrose in southwest Montana. Located approximately 30 miles south of Butte near the town of Divide, the campground offers 21 camping units in a scenic riverside setting at about 5,400 feet elevation. Each campsite features a table and fire ring. The campground provides potable water, restrooms, night lighting, and an information kiosk. A volunteer host is typically present during the operating season. A boat ramp provides direct access to the Big Hole River, which is celebrated as a blue-ribbon trout fishery and popular float boating destination. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no advance reservations. The surrounding area offers access to the Beaverhead-Deerlodge National Forest for additional hiking and outdoor recreation opportunities.
