About

Tipsu Tyee Campground offers a secluded backcountry camping experience on the shore of Applegate Lake in Oregon's Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest. This primitive campground is accessible only by foot via the Payette Trail #970 or by boat, making it an ideal destination for those seeking solitude away from road-accessible sites. The campground features five tent-only sites, each equipped with a picnic table and fire pit. Vault toilets are available, but there is no potable water, so campers must bring their own supply. There is no garbage service; all trash must be packed out. The campground is free and operates on a first-come, first-served basis year-round. Quiet hours are observed between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m., and campfires are permitted only in the developed fire pits. Dogs are welcome but must remain leashed. The maximum stay is 14 days. The nearby Harr Ridge Trail begins at the campground and offers excellent views of Applegate Lake and the surrounding mountains.
