The National Weather Service in Pocatello has issued a Red Flag Warning, which is in effect from 2 PM to 9 PM MDT Monday. * AFFECTED AREA...Fire weather zones 475 and 476. * WIND...West 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph. * HUMIDITY...As low as 10 percent. * IMPACTS...Wind reaching these speeds and humidity drier than 15 percent can result in rapid fire spread and extreme wildfire intensity.

Timber Creek Reservoir Lower Campground is a small, primitive facility with 4 campsites located in the Beaverhead Mountains of the Salmon-Challis National Forest. The campground provides access to Timber Creek Reservoir for fishing and offers a quiet, remote setting for those seeking solitude in the Idaho backcountry. The campground features basic amenities including potable water. Fishing is available in Timber Creek Reservoir and nearby Hawley Creek. The area is popular with anglers and those seeking to escape more crowded developed campgrounds. The Upper campground, located nearby, offers an additional 6 sites with vault toilets, picnic tables, and fire rings. Access is via forest roads west of Leadore. From Leadore, travel west on Lee Creek Road for approximately 0.9 miles, then turn left onto Forest Service Road 105 toward Big Timber Creek. After about 7.5 miles, take the right fork onto Forest Service Road 172, then follow for one mile to a fork where the right branch leads to the Lower campground.

Directions

From Leadore, go west on Lee Creek Road for 0.9 miles. Turn left onto Forest Service Road 105 toward Big Timber Creek. Continue approximately 7.5 miles to a road junction and take the right fork onto Forest Service Road 172. Follow for one mile to a fork; the right branch leads to Timber Creek Reservoir Lower Campground.
