The Fire Weather Watch is no longer in effect. * AFFECTED AREA...In Colorado, Fire Weather Zone 205 Colorado River Headwaters below 8000 feet. * TIMING...For the first Red Flag Warning, until 8 PM MDT this evening. For the second Red Flag Warning, from noon to 8 PM MDT Thursday. * WINDS...Southwest 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY...7 to 12 percent. * IMPACTS...Any fire that develops will catch and spread quickly. WHERE...Moffat, Routt, Jackson, Grand, Rio Blanco, Garfield, Eagle, Summit, Gilpin, Clear Creek, Mesa, Pitkin, Lake, Park, Delta, Gunnison, Chaffee, Montrose, Ouray, San Miguel, Dolores, and northern parts of Montezuma and Saguache Counties. Locations include, but are not limited to Craig, Steamboat Springs, Walden, Granby, Hot Sulphur Springs, Kremmling, Meeker, Rangely, Glenwood Springs, Eagle, Vail, Breckenridge, Central City, Georgetown, Grand Junction, Aspen, Leadville, Fairplay, Delta, Gunnison, Buena Vista, Salida, Montrose, Nucla, Ouray, Telluride, Dove Creek, and Saguache. About

Tigiwon Community House is a historic one-room day-use cabin located in the White River National Forest, situated in the heart of the Vail Valley between the Holy Cross and Eagles Nest Wilderness Areas. This facility is strictly day-use only; overnight camping is prohibited. The cabin features indoor amenities including four tables, bench seating around the room, and a stone fireplace. Outside, visitors have access to four 10-foot picnic tables, two charcoal grills, a fire pit, a horseshoe pit, and vault toilets. There is no drinking water or electricity available on site. The parking area accommodates approximately 15-20 vehicles. Access is via Tigiwon Road (Forest Service Road 707), which is seasonally closed from late November through mid-June. The facility is ideal for family reunions, parties, weddings, and group gatherings. Nearby trails provide access to the Holy Cross Wilderness and sections of the Colorado Trail.

Directions

From Denver, take I-70 west approximately 105 miles to exit 171. Take Highway 24 south through the town of Minturn to Tigiwon Road (Forest Service Road 707) and turn right. Follow Tigiwon Road approximately 6 miles to the Community House.
