About

Spraddle Creek Ranch is situated in Eagle County within the White River National Forest, accessible from I-70 at Vail. Official Forest Service documentation describes the site as a trailhead for the Eiseman Trail rather than a designated campground with established facilities. The area offers two parking locations: Forest Service access parking approximately 0.1 mile up Spraddle Creek Road on the left, and the Spraddle Creek Ranch parking area reached by continuing 0.75 miles east on Spraddle Creek Road, turning right before the Spraddle Creek Estates entrance gate, and continuing 0.1 mile. While some third-party sources list this as a horse camp, the White River National Forest's official equestrian campgrounds with corrals and facilities are located elsewhere, including Marvine, East Marvine, and Horse Thief campgrounds near Trappers Lake. Visitors seeking confirmed equestrian camping facilities should contact the Eagle-Holy Cross Ranger District directly.

Directions

From I-70, take exit 176 at Vail. On the north side of the interstate, turn right (east) onto Spraddle Creek Road #737. For Forest Service access parking, continue 0.1 mile and the lot is on the left. For Spraddle Creek Ranch parking, continue east 0.75 miles to the Spraddle Creek Estates entrance gate, take a hard right before the gate, and continue 0.1 mile to the parking area.
