About
The Narrows Campground occupies a scenic peninsula on Barren River Lake, operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The 92-site campground is arranged in two loops, both open throughout the May to September season. Each site features electric and water hookups, a picnic table, and a fire ring. A dump station is available near the entrance, and showers are centrally located. Boating and fishing are the main draws here. The campground sits adjacent to The Narrows Marina and a public boat launch, providing easy access to Barren River Lake's 10,000+ acres. Anglers target bass, crappie, and catfish in the nearby creeks and open waters. The lake is also popular for tubing, skiing, and wakeboarding. The Lindsey Nature Trail departs from the campground, winding along steep limestone bluffs with views of the lake. Other amenities include an amphitheater, horseshoe pit, sand beach, volleyball court, playground, and a small camp store. Mammoth Cave National Park is about an hour north for day trips.
