About

The Narrows is a family-friendly campground on Barren River Lake that has attracted return visitors year after year. The 92-site facility features two loops with electric and water hookups available during the main camping season from May through September. The campground sits on varied terrain, from hillside sites along steep limestone cliffs to gently sloping shoreline locations with weeping willows. The campground offers excellent lake access for boating, fishing, skiing, tubing, and wakeboarding. Anglers can fish from shore or launch from the nearby marina to explore quiet coves at Coon, Green, Beaver, or Skaggs Creek. The Lindsey Nature Trail backs up to the campground, providing hikers with panoramic lake views from clifftop overlooks. On-site amenities include an amphitheater, horseshoe pit, open lawn area, and a picnic pavilion with playground across the road available by reservation. Nearby attractions include Barren River Lake State Resort Park, Mammoth Cave National Park to the north, and regional destinations like the National Corvette Museum, Kentucky Down Under, and Diamond Caverns. The Narrows Marina is a short drive from the campground entrance.
