Quarry Road Picnic Shelter is a day-use group shelter located at Barren River Lake in Barren County, Kentucky. Managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Louisville District, this facility provides a covered shelter with electric hookups adjacent to the scenic Quarry Road Beach recreation area. The shelter offers spectacular views of the Barren River Lake Dam and the surrounding lake. Barren River Lake is situated in the rolling hills of south central Kentucky, with the dam located approximately 12 miles east of Scottsville. The lake was constructed in the 1960s for flood control and encompasses over 10,000 acres managed for wildlife and recreation. The Quarry Road recreation area provides access to beach activities, boating, and fishing on the lake. This is a reservable group shelter facility ideal for gatherings, family reunions, and group events. The shelter includes electric service and is positioned in one of the most scenic locations on the lake with direct access to Quarry Road Beach. Reservations can be made through Recreation.gov, and the facility operates seasonally as a day-use area only.

From Glasgow, KY, take State Highway 252 west for approximately 10 miles. Turn left onto Finney Road and continue for about 1 mile to reach the Quarry Road Picnic Shelter.
