In north central Kentucky, Hardin, Larue, Nelson and Washington KY. In south central Kentucky, Adair, Allen, Barren, Butler, Casey, Clinton, Cumberland, Edmonson, Grayson, Green, Hart, Lincoln, Logan, Marion, Metcalfe, Monroe, Russell, Simpson, Taylor and Warren. * WHEN...Through Sunday afternoon. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Repeated rounds of showers and thunderstorms capable of heavy rain are expected today through the weekend. Already wet soils in some areas will make flooding more susceptible, especially with each additional round of rainfall. Quarry Road Picnic Shelter is a day-use group facility at Barren River Lake in Barren County, Kentucky, operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. The shelter is located adjacent to Quarry Road Beach and provides scenic views of the Barren River Dam. With a maximum capacity of 50 people and parking for up to 25 vehicles, it serves as an ideal venue for group gatherings, family reunions, and events. The shelter features 15-amp electric hookups and water hookup, with a paved driveway for easy drive-in access. The surrounding Quarry Road Recreation Area includes flush restrooms, a swimming beach, fishing piers, playground, and picnic sites. ADA-accessible restrooms, parking, and a handicap-accessible ramp and pier are available year-round. This is a day-use facility only with no overnight camping permitted. Check-in is at 8:00 AM and checkout is at 8:00 PM. Reservations are made through Recreation.gov.

From Glasgow, KY: Take US 31E southwest; turn right on KY 252 and continue approximately 10 miles; turn left on Corps road to Quarry Road Recreation Area.
