About

Located on the northeast section of Barren River Lake in south-central Kentucky, Beaver Creek Campground offers a primitive camping experience with 12 waterfront campsites tucked behind a small island. Each site provides scenic views of the 10,000-acre lake and surrounding shoreline. The campground is particularly popular with water enthusiasts and anglers, offering direct access to the lake via the adjacent Beaver Creek Boat Ramp. The lake provides excellent opportunities for fishing, boating, tubing, skiing, and wakeboarding. The campground uses Recreation.gov's Scan&Pay system, allowing campers to reserve sites on a first-come, first-served basis by scanning QR codes at the kiosk. Simply select an unoccupied site, scan the code with the Recreation.gov app, and complete your reservation. Nearby recreation areas include Port Oliver, Quarry Road, Peninsula, and Barren River Lake State Park, which offer additional amenities such as marinas, boat rentals, hiking trails, and swimming beaches. The campground is located approximately 10 miles southwest of Glasgow, Kentucky, and about 40 minutes from Mammoth Cave National Park.
