Bailey's Point Picnic Shelter is a group shelter facility located adjacent to Bailey's Point Campground at Barren River Lake in south-central Kentucky. Managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, this reservable shelter provides a covered gathering space with electric hookups for group events and picnics.
The shelter is situated on the 10,000-acre Barren River Lake, surrounded by wooded hillsides and scenic lake views. Being adjacent to Bailey's Point Campground, shelter users have access to nearby amenities including boat ramps, playgrounds, hiking trails, and lakefront activities. The location offers opportunities for fishing, boating, swimming, and birding.
The shelter operates seasonally alongside the main campground and requires advance reservations through Recreation.gov. Firewood from outside the area is prohibited due to invasive species concerns. Off-highway vehicles are not permitted, and all boats must comply with Kentucky boating laws and regulations.
