About
Bailey's Point Picnic Shelter is a reservable group shelter located at Barren River Lake, a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers recreation area in south-central Kentucky. The shelter is adjacent to Bailey's Point Campground and offers electric service for group gatherings and events. This is a day-use facility designed for picnics, family reunions, and group events rather than overnight camping. Visitors seeking overnight accommodations should consider the adjacent Bailey's Point Campground, which operates from April through October and offers over 200 campsites with electric and water hookups. The shelter provides access to Barren River Lake's recreational amenities. Boats must comply with all Kentucky boating laws and regulations. Firewood from outside the area is prohibited due to concerns about invasive insects and tree diseases.
