Barren River Lake State Resort Park offers a full-service camping experience on the shores of a beautiful 10,000-acre lake in south-central Kentucky. The campground features 101 sites total, with 99 electric sites and 2 primitive tent sites. Most electric sites feature pull-through configurations with driveway lengths up to 103 feet, making it very accommodating for large RVs and trailers. The campground includes modern amenities such as restrooms with showers, laundry facilities, and a dump station. Campers enjoy full access to the state resort park's extensive recreational facilities. The lake provides excellent fishing for largemouth bass, white bass, hybrid striped bass, bluegill, channel catfish, and crappie. The marina offers over 140 boat slips, a launching ramp, and rentals including pontoon boats, jon boats, and kayaks. On land, visitors can play the 18-hole golf course, ride horses on guided trail rides, play tennis or basketball, or explore four miles of paved and woodland trails for hiking and biking. A public beach with bathhouse provides swimming access during summer months. Located 44 miles southeast of Bowling Green and 45 minutes from Mammoth Cave National Park, the campground serves as an excellent base for exploring the region's cave systems and other attractions. The park also features a lodge, cottages, and dining facilities. Golf carts are permitted in the campground with a $25 weekly or $100 annual permit.
