Barren River Lake State Resort Park sits on the shores of the 10,000-acre Barren River Lake in south-central Kentucky, approximately 44 miles southeast of Bowling Green and 45 minutes from Mammoth Cave National Park. The campground occupies a scenic peninsula extending into the lake, providing many sites with water views and easy access to fishing and boating. The campground features 101 sites, with 99 offering electric hookups (30 and 50 amp) and water service, plus 2 primitive tent sites. Multiple pull-through sites accommodate large RVs up to 106 feet. Modern facilities include bathhouses with hot showers, flush restrooms, laundry facilities, and an RV dump station. Each site includes a fire ring and picnic table. A camp store offers ice, snacks, and gifts. Beyond camping, the resort offers exceptional recreation. The 18-hole golf course is among Kentucky's finest state park courses. A full-service marina provides boat rentals and launch access. The public beach with bathhouse opens Memorial Day through Labor Day. Guided horseback rides, four miles of hiking and biking trails, tennis courts, basketball, and volleyball round out the activities. The Driftwood Restaurant at the lodge serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

From Bowling Green, take I-65 to the Cumberland Parkway East, then US 31E South to Lucas. From the Louis B. Nunn Parkway, take the Highway 31E exit south toward Scottsville. The park is located at 1149 State Park Road, Lucas, KY 42156.
