The Landing Group Site offers an exclusive group camping experience on Ocean Pond within Osceola National Forest. Nestled among tall pines and cypress trees draped in Spanish moss, the campground provides a secluded retreat for groups of up to 50 overnight guests or 75 day-use visitors. The private setting includes a sand beach perfect for swimming, with easy shore launching for canoes, kayaks, and small boats. Facilities include four RV-compatible sites with electric and water hookups accommodating rigs up to 40 feet, an ADA-accessible bathhouse with hot showers and flush toilets, a large covered picnic pavilion, and bear-proof garbage cans. A fire pit and large grill are available for group cooking. Potable water is available on site. Advance reservations are required and can be made up to six months ahead through Recreation.gov. Check-in is at 2:00 p.m. and check-out is at noon. Visitors should contact the Osceola Ranger Station at (386) 752-2577 before arrival to obtain the gate code. Florida state fishing and boating licenses are required for those activities.
Directions
From the intersection of Hwy 441 and Hwy 90 in Lake City, FL, drive east on Hwy 90 for 12.6 miles. Turn left at the flashing light onto Pine Street, cross over the railroad tracks, and after about half a mile you will see a sign directing you to turn left to The Landing.
