Patchy to areas of locally dense fog have developed across inland portions of southeast Georgia, northeast and north central Florida early this morning. Visibilities may occasionally be reduced below one half mile for these locations through the early morning hours on Sunday. Motorists early this morning should remain alert for sudden changes in visibility, especially in low spots and near marshes, rivers, creeks or lakes. If driving, slow down and leave extra distance ahead of you in case a sudden stop is needed.

About
The Landing Group Campground offers a secluded group camping experience on the shores of Ocean Pond in the Osceola National Forest. This reservation-only facility provides a flexible space perfect for family reunions, company picnics, or group outings. The site features four electric hookups, an accessible bathhouse with hot showers and flush toilets, potable water, a large picnic shelter, bear-proof garbage cans, picnic tables, a large grill, and a fire pit. Situated among tall pines and cypress trees draped in Spanish moss, the campground offers a private sand beach for swimming and relaxing. The location is ideal for water activities including swimming, canoeing, kayaking, and fishing. Small boats, canoes, or kayaks can be easily shore-launched, while a boat ramp at nearby Olustee Beach accommodates larger craft. Wildlife sightings are common in this natural setting. The campground can accommodate up to 50 overnight guests and 75 for day use. Advance reservations are required and can be made up to six months in advance through Recreation.gov. Check-in time is 2:00 p.m. and checkout is noon. Campers must contact the Osceola Ranger Station to obtain a gate code prior to their stay. Nearby attractions include Olustee Beach, the Florida National Scenic Trail, and the Olustee Battlefield historic site.
Directions
From the intersection of Hwy 441 and Hwy 90 in Lake City, FL, drive east on Hwy 90 for 12.6 miles. Turn left at the flashing light onto Pine Street. Cross over the railroad tracks. After about half a mile, turn left at the sign directing you to The Landing. Turn onto your first road on the left and you will soon see the gate for the facility.
