East Tower Hunt Camp offers a true backcountry experience in Osceola National Forest near the intersection of CR 250 and FR 202 in Baker County, Florida. This primitive camping area operates year-round and is free to use, making it popular with hunters during general gun season and those seeking solitude throughout the year. As a primitive site, amenities are minimal. There is no potable water, so campers must bring their own supply. No permanent restrooms exist, though portable toilets are provided during hunting season. Campers must pack out all trash following Leave No Trace principles. Campfires are permitted using existing fire rings with dead and down wood only. Pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash. The standard 14-day per month stay limit applies. During general gun season, camping is restricted to designated campsites per Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission regulations. A valid Florida hunting license is required for hunting activities.
