Group Landing sits on the scenic shore of Ocean Pond within the Olustee Experimental Forest area of Osceola National Forest. This secluded group site offers a private sand beach perfect for swimming, shore-launching canoes and kayaks, and fishing. A larger boat ramp is available nearby at Olustee Beach for bigger watercraft. The facility includes an accessible bathhouse with hot showers and flush toilets, a large covered picnic shelter with tables, a barbecue grill, and a fire ring. Four sites with electric and water hookups can accommodate RVs up to 40 feet. Bear-proof garbage cans are provided. The surrounding landscape features tall pines and cypress draped in Spanish moss. Nearby attractions include Olustee Beach day use area, 22 miles of the Florida National Scenic Trail, and the historic Olustee Battlefield site of the largest Civil War battle in Florida.

Directions

From the intersection of Hwy 441 and Hwy 90 in Lake City, FL, drive east on Hwy 90 for 12.6 miles. Turn left at the flashing light onto Pine Street. Cross over the railroad tracks. After about half a mile, you will see a sign directing you to turn left and proceed to The Landing. Turn onto your first road on the left, and you will soon see the gate for the facility.
