About

The Forks Campground sits along the East Fork of the Jarbidge Wild and Scenic River in the remote high desert of southwestern Idaho. This small BLM campground offers a handful of secluded sites overlooking the river, positioned directly across from the Jarbidge River put-in. The location makes it a staging point for experienced whitewater boaters tackling the challenging Class 5-6 rapids during the short spring floating season. Access is straightforward via the Jarbidge Road (Three Creek Highway), an asphalt surface road originating from U.S. 93 at Rogerson, Idaho. The 49-mile drive to Murphy Hot Springs, followed by a short two-mile stretch north, is manageable for two-wheel drive vehicles. Activities include camping, fishing, wildlife viewing, and photography in this rugged canyon landscape. As a primitive BLM campground, facilities are minimal. Campers should arrive self-sufficient with their own water supply and be prepared for a backcountry experience. The 14-day stay limit applies.

Directions
