About

The Forks Campground is a small Bureau of Land Management campground situated on the East Fork of the Jarbidge Wild and Scenic River in the remote Owyhee Canyonlands of southwestern Idaho. Located about two miles north of Murphy Hot Springs, the campground sits across from the popular Jarbidge River put-in at the confluence of the West and East Forks of the Jarbidge River. This remote high desert setting features deep volcanic canyons, spire-like hoodoos, and access to nearly 30 miles of designated Wild river. The campground is accessible year-round via two-wheel drive vehicles, though winter conditions may affect access. The Jarbidge Road, also called Three Creek Highway, provides an asphalt-surfaced route from U.S. 93 at Rogerson, Idaho, with Murphy Hot Springs located 49 miles from Rogerson. From there, it's a short drive north to the campground. The remote location offers opportunities for camping, river running, wildlife viewing, and exploring the unique geology of the Jarbidge Wild and Scenic River corridor.

Directions

From U.S. 93 at Rogerson, Idaho, take the Jarbidge Road (Three Creek Highway) southwest for 49 miles to Murphy Hot Springs. Continue north approximately 2 miles to the campground on the East Fork of the Jarbidge River.
