About
South Temple Wash Campground sits at the base of the San Rafael Reef, one of central Utah's most distinctive geologic features—a 75-mile-long rocky spine reaching up to 1,000 feet high that forms the eastern edge of the San Rafael Swell. The campground is strategically located just west of the turnoff to Goblin Valley State Park, making it an excellent base for exploring the southern section of the Swell. The campground offers 10 individual campsites and 2 group sites, all available on a first-come, first-served basis. Sites feature large parking areas designed to accommodate big rigs and long trailers, with each site equipped with a fire ring and large picnic table. The campground includes vault toilets and an information kiosk with helpful area maps and information. Visitors are reminded to recreate responsibly by staying on designated routes to protect the fragile desert environment. The campground operates under a 14-day maximum stay limit and charges $15 per night for individual sites and $50 per night for group sites.
