About
Goblin Valley State Park campground serves as a base for exploring one of Utah's most unique geological wonders. The campground consists of 24 individual sites divided into 14 RV spaces, 10 walk-in tent pads, one group site accommodating up to 40 people, and two furnished yurts. All individual sites include covered picnic tables, metal fire rings, and shade shelters. The campground is surrounded by interesting rock formations and provides easy access to the main Valley of Goblins. Located in the high desert 48 miles southwest of Green River, this remote but popular campground offers modern amenities including centrally located restrooms with flush toilets and hot showers, drinking water, and a dump station. The sites are primitive with no electrical, water, or sewer hookups. RV spaces can accommodate rigs up to 42 feet in length, with several pull-through sites available. The yurts feature heat, swamp coolers, furnished sleeping areas, and outdoor grills with complimentary propane. The park sits at the edge of the San Rafael Swell, offering access to endless hiking among the goblins, slot canyons, rock art sites, mountain biking trails, disc golf, and OHV routes. The bizarre sandstone formations were carved over 170 million years through erosion and weathering. Spring and fall offer ideal visiting conditions, while summer temperatures can rise quickly in the exposed high desert environment.
