About

TADRA Point Trailhead sits at the confluence of the five loops comprising the 75-mile LBJ Multi-Use Trail System in the Lyndon B. Johnson National Grassland. Constructed through the volunteer efforts of local equestrian groups, this campground serves as headquarters for various non-commercial group events including equestrian endurance rides throughout the year. The facility offers 20 parking spurs with 6 pull-through sites and 10 stock tethers. Amenities include vault toilets (two of which are ADA accessible), non-potable water for horses, numerous hitching posts, an accessible horse ramp, picnic tables, and a pavilion with grill. No hookups or potable drinking water are available; campers must bring their own water supply. Sites are available first-come, first-served at $10 per night. Payment can be made on-site via the Recreation.gov mobile app's Scan and Pay feature, though cellular service may be limited. Quiet hours are observed from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
