About
Black Creek Lake Recreation Area is located on the north shore of the scenic 35-acre Black Creek Lake within the Lyndon B. Johnson National Grassland in Wise County, Texas. The campground features 14 walk-in camping sites available year-round on a first-come-first-served basis. Sites cost $10 per night, and day use is $2 per vehicle. Interagency Senior and Access passes provide a 50% discount on single campsites.
Facilities include vault toilets and picnic tables. There is no potable water available, so campers must bring an adequate supply. A concrete boat ramp provides access to the lake for motorized and non-motorized watercraft. Popular activities include fishing, boating, canoeing, paddling, and wildlife photography.
Pets are permitted but must be crated, caged, or on a leash no longer than six feet. Payment can be made with cash, check, or via the Recreation.gov mobile app's Scan and Pay feature. Download the app before arrival as cellular service can be limited in the area.
