Taboose Creek Campground

Open

Open year-round. Water well is operational. Reservations available through ReserveAmerica; first-come, first-served sites also available. Campfires allowed in designated fire rings only.

About

Taboose Creek Campground sits at the eastern base of Taboose Pass in the Owens Valley, providing access to the John Muir Wilderness and the high Sierra backcountry. The campground features 35 sites spread along Taboose Creek, each equipped with a table, grill, and fire ring. Vault toilets and potable water from a recently repaired well serve the facility. The campground accommodates RVs up to 45 feet and operates on a combination of reservations through ReserveAmerica and first-come, first-served availability. Automated pay stations accept credit cards or cash. Stream fishing is available directly from the campground, with the season running from the last Saturday in April through November 15. This is a primitive campground with no hookups, showers, or dump station. Campers should be prepared for a rustic experience at an elevation that serves as the jumping-off point for Taboose Pass, one of the steeper but less-traveled routes into Kings Canyon National Park.
