About

Tinnemaha Creek Campground is a peaceful 35-site Inyo County park nestled along Tinnemaha Creek in the Owens Valley at approximately 4,400 feet elevation. Situated at the base of the Eastern Sierra, the campground offers a quiet retreat with creek access and views of the surrounding mountains. The campground is located 19 miles north of Independence via U.S. 395, with access via Fish Springs Road and Tinnemaha Road. This is a primitive campground with vault toilets, fire rings, grills, and picnic tables at each site. Potable water, showers, and RV hookups are not available, so campers must bring their own water supply. Stream fishing is permitted with a valid California fishing license from the last Saturday in April through November 15. Dogs are welcome at the campground. Camping is available year-round with sites bookable through ReserveAmerica or on a first-come, first-served basis. The fee is $14 per vehicle per night with a maximum of six people per site. Additional vehicles cost $5 per night. Automated pay stations accept credit cards and cash.
