About

Baker Creek Campground is an Inyo County-operated facility situated one mile west of Big Pine in the Eastern Sierra Nevada. The campground sits where Baker Creek forms a delta, providing 40 campsites with extensive tree cover and creek access. Sites are equipped with tables, grills, and fire rings, offering a peaceful setting with mountain views and proximity to the town of Big Pine. The campground accommodates both tents and RVs up to 30 feet in length, with no hookups available. While many sites can be reserved in advance through ReserveAmerica, several sites remain available on a first-come, first-served basis. Vault toilets are provided, but there are no shower facilities or potable water on-site, so campers should bring their own water. Baker Creek offers stream fishing opportunities, with the fishing season running from the last Saturday in April through November 15. A valid California fishing license is required for anglers 16 years and older. The campground serves as a convenient base for exploring the Eastern Sierra, with easy access to nearby trailheads and the town of Big Pine.
