About

Suwannee River State Park Campground is located at the confluence of the Suwannee and Withlacoochee rivers in North Florida. The campground features 30 oak-shaded sites equipped with full hookups including electricity, water, and sewer. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring. Three sites are ADA accessible, and the campground offers an ADA accessible restroom with showers and laundry facilities. The park sits on historically significant ground where Civil War earthworks remain visible and two ghost towns have been reclaimed by wilderness. Campers have direct access to multiple hiking trails including the 12.5-mile Big Oak Trail, part of the Florida National Scenic Trail. The park features a boat ramp providing access to both rivers for paddling, boating, and fishing. Wildlife viewing and birding opportunities abound in the sandhill and bottomland forest habitats. The park is open from 8 a.m. until sunset daily with a $5 vehicle entry fee.
