About
Located along the banks of the legendary Suwannee River in White Springs, Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park preserves the cultural heritage of Florida's folk traditions while honoring the songwriter who made the river famous. The 45-site campground sits beneath a canopy of mature oaks, providing welcome shade in Florida's warm climate. Each site offers water and electric hookups, a picnic table, and an in-ground fire ring for evening campfires. The campground facilities include two ADA-accessible restrooms with hot showers and a dump station for RV waste disposal. All campsites are designated ADA accessible, accommodating visitors with mobility needs. The campground can handle large RVs up to 100 feet in length. Pets are welcome but must remain on a 6-foot leash and be confined to camping units during quiet hours from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. Beyond camping, visitors can explore the Stephen Foster Museum, climb the 200-foot carillon tower for panoramic views, walk the Craft Square featuring demonstrations of traditional Florida crafts, and enjoy miles of paved and natural trails. The Suwannee River offers excellent paddling opportunities, and fishing is popular along the riverbank. The park hosts the annual Florida Folk Festival over Memorial Day weekend, during which the campground is closed to regular camping.
