About

Stephen Foster Folk Culture Center State Park Campground sits on 800 acres along the banks of the legendary Suwannee River in North Florida. The campground features 45 spacious, oak-shaded sites that can accommodate RVs up to 100 feet, with both pull-through and back-in options. Each site includes electric and water hookups, a picnic table, and fire ring. Campers enjoy direct access to extensive recreational opportunities including Stephen Foster's Hammock Loop Trail, an 8-mile single-track trail for mountain biking, hiking, and horseback riding that traverses high river bluffs, limestone outcroppings, and floodplain swamp forests. The Suwannee River offers excellent paddling and fishing for largemouth bass, black crappie, and catfish. The park also features a canoe/kayak launch near the campground. The campground includes two ADA-accessible restrooms with showers and a dump station. Within walking distance, visitors can explore the Stephen Foster museum with historic exhibits and dioramas, and hear melodies from the 200-foot carillon tower housing a 97-bell instrument. The park hosts the renowned Florida Folk Festival every Memorial Day weekend and various special events throughout the year.
