The combination of drying fine fuels and leaf litter, low relative humidity of around 35 percent and a southerly wind gusting between 20 and 25 mph during the late morning and afternoon hours, will create an elevated risk of wildfire spread across the southern half of Pennsylvania today. Residents are urged to exercise caution if handling any potential ignition sources, such as machinery, cigarettes, or matches. If dry grasses and tree litter begin to burn, the fire will have the potential to spread rapidly. About
Four properties along the scenic Lower Susquehanna River comprise the Susquehannock State Park Complex. The 224-acre Susquehannock State Park sits on a wooded plateau with outstanding views of the Susquehanna River. The campground offers rustic organized group tenting sites and pavilion rentals, providing a variety of recreational opportunities for year-round fun. The park features scenic overlooks including Pinnacle Overlook to the north and Urey Overlook to the northwest. Recreational activities include hiking, horseback riding, and interpretive exhibits. The park provides basic amenities with pit toilets in the group tenting areas and flush toilets available in the pavilion areas. Reservations can be made up to 11 months in advance through the Pennsylvania State Parks reservation system.

From Lancaster and PA 372, turn left on Susquehannock Drive then right onto Park Road. From York and PA 372, turn right on River Road, right on Furniss Road, hard right on Susquehannock Road, and right onto Park Road.
