About

Samuel S. Lewis State Park is an 85-acre day-use park in York County, Pennsylvania, about 12 miles east of York. The park is dominated by Mt. Pisgah, an 885-foot high ridge that separates Kreutz Creek Valley and East Prospect Valley, providing spectacular panoramic views of the Susquehanna River. The park offers hiking trails, picnic areas with tables scattered throughout, a ball field, and playground equipment. The Hilltop Pavilion can accommodate up to 100 people with 10 picnic tables and is available for reservation up to 11 months in advance through the PA State Parks reservation system. If unreserved, it is available free on a first-come, first-served basis. Samuel S. Lewis State Park does not have traditional overnight camping facilities such as tent sites, RV sites, or cabins. It operates as a day-use park open sunrise to sunset every day of the year. Visitors seeking overnight camping should consider nearby state parks with camping facilities.
