About
Lums Pond State Park campground sits along the shores of Delaware's largest freshwater pond, created in the early 1800s as a feeder pond for the Chesapeake and Delaware Canal. The campground underwent a $5.6 million renovation that upgraded all sites with full hookups and modern amenities, earning recognition from Reader's Digest as the best RV park in Delaware. The campground offers 68 full-hookup sites with 30- or 50-amp electric, water, and sewer connections suitable for RVs up to 50 feet. Ten tent-only sites provide a more primitive experience, while yurts offer unique accommodations with bunk beds, a futon, and outdoor deck seating. Each campsite includes a picnic table and fire ring. Modern bathhouses with individual shower rooms and ADA-accessible facilities are located throughout the campground. Beyond camping, the park offers outstanding recreation on the 200-acre pond including fishing, kayaking, and stand-up paddleboarding. The trail system provides miles of hiking and mountain biking, while Go Ape! zip line and treetop adventure course delivers aerial thrills. An off-leash dog park welcomes four-legged family members.
