Surry Mountain Lake Beach
Open seasonally for day use only from late May through August, Wednesday through Sunday, 8am to 8pm. Mondays and Tuesdays are walk-in access only with portable toilets instead of flush restrooms. No overnight camping is permitted at this facility.
About
Surry Mountain Lake Beach is a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers day-use recreation area located on the Ashuelot River in Surry, New Hampshire. The facility features a large sandy beach with a designated swimming area, offering scenic views of Surry Mountain. A boat ramp accommodates small boats, kayaks, and canoes for paddling and fishing on the lake. The park includes three group picnic shelters (Maple, Birch, and Aspen) with electric service available for reservation, along with individual picnic tables and grills scattered throughout the grounds. A playground provides entertainment for children, and flush restrooms are available during regular operating hours. This is strictly a day-use facility with no overnight camping permitted. Dogs are allowed on leash throughout the park except on the beach area.
