About

Otter Brook Lake Recreation Area is a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers day-use facility situated on the shores of Otter Brook Lake in Keene and Roxbury, New Hampshire. The park offers a variety of outdoor recreation opportunities including picnicking, canoeing, hiking, wildlife viewing, fishing, and team sports like volleyball and baseball. A disc golf course is also available. The facility features three reservable picnic shelters: Pine (80-person capacity with electric), Elm (60-person capacity with electric), and Alder (16-person capacity without electric). These shelters are popular for family reunions, company parties, and group events. The area includes an open lakefront, grassy fields, and shady spots along the river. Overnight camping is not permitted at this facility. For the 2025 season, the entrance gate on Route 9 is closed, making the area walk-in only with no restroom facilities or shelter reservations available.
