Sunset Campground is situated within the remarkable landscape of Bryce Canyon National Park, positioned at approximately 8,000 feet elevation in a gently rolling ponderosa pine forest. Located 1.5 miles south of the park's Visitor Center on Highway 63, the campground offers 99 sites distributed across three loops. Loop A primarily accommodates RVs, while Loops B and C are designated for tent camping only. The campground's location provides ideal access to the park's most celebrated features, including nearby Sunset Point and the spectacular Bryce Amphitheater with its colorful rock spires and sweeping vistas. The campground operates seasonally, typically from mid-April through late October, with exact dates varying based on weather conditions. During the operating season, the facility offers essential amenities including potable water, portable toilets, and a seasonal dump station. A general store with laundry and shower facilities operates nearby during summer months. Fire grates and picnic tables are provided at each site. The park's free shuttle system stops at the campground entrance during peak season, allowing campers to explore the park's iconic viewpoints and trailheads without vehicle congestion. Each site accommodates up to 10 people with a maximum of 6 adults, along with 3 tents and 2 vehicles or 1 RV with a tow vehicle.
