About
Red Canyon Campground sits amid ponderosa pines in Red Canyon along Scenic Byway Utah State Highway 12, surrounded by striking Pink Claron Limestone formations reminiscent of nearby Bryce Canyon National Park. The campground offers 37 sites with modern amenities including hot showers, flush and vault toilets, drinking water, and a dump station. The area features an extensive trail system for hiking, mountain biking, and road cycling. The Buckhorn Trailhead is located within the campground and connects to the Golden Wall Trail for a scenic 5-mile round trip hike. The popular Red Canyon Bicycle Trail and Red Canyon Visitor Center are easily accessible from the campground. Each campsite includes a picnic table, fire pit with grill, and tent pad. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis from late April through early October. Single sites accommodate up to 8 people and one vehicle, while double sites accommodate up to 16 people and two vehicles. Quiet hours are enforced from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., and the maximum stay is 14 days.
