The shelter's location provides convenient access to the park's 500-foot swimming beach on the 200-acre Stonelick Lake. Stonelick State Park spans 1,058 acres of rolling highlands in southwest Ohio, offering a peaceful retreat with stately woodlands and still waters. The park features over 100 campsites, four hiking trails totaling about 7 miles through beech, maple, and sweet gum forests, and a variety of recreational activities including fishing, boating (electric motors only), and winter activities like ice fishing and cross-country skiing when conditions permit.
