About

Pinetree Group Camp offers a primitive camping experience at Cowan Lake State Park in Clinton County, Ohio. This tent-only group site accommodates up to 50 people, making it ideal for scout troops, church groups, and family reunions. The camp features a stone fire ring, charcoal grill, and picnic tables set among mature pines. While the site has no potable water, a pit latrine is within walking distance. The location provides easy access to several park amenities. The youth fishing pond and a fishing pier are nearby, along with a kayak launch for paddling on 700-acre Cowan Lake. The Emerald Woods trailhead offers hiking opportunities through the park's forests. The main campground area has a camp store, nature center, and showerhouses available for use. Reservations can be made up to six months in advance through ReserveOhio online or by calling (866) 644-6727. Quiet hours are observed from 10 PM to 7 AM. Campers should bring their own drinking water and be prepared for a rustic experience.
