About

Turkey Ridge Shelter is a group picnic shelter situated within East Fork State Park, one of Ohio's largest state parks at 7,480 acres. The park surrounds William Harsha Lake, offering access to swimming beaches, boat ramps, and extensive trail systems for hiking, mountain biking, and horseback riding. The shelter is designed for group gatherings with a 100-person capacity. Amenities include a large 6-foot campfire ring, two permanent charcoal grills, and multiple picnic tables. Restroom facilities are available seasonally nearby, and trash dumpsters are provided. The shelter does not have potable water, so groups should bring their own drinking water. East Fork State Park also offers a 416-site campground for overnight stays, as well as backcountry camping along the Backpack Trail and Steven Newman Worldwalker Perimeter Trail. The backcountry areas feature Adirondack-style shelters at camping areas 1 and 2, with fire rings at each site.
