About
Stockton Park is a day-use recreation area managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers on Stockton Lake in the Ozark Mountains of southwestern Missouri. The facility provides public access to the lower end of Stockton Lake and is popular with boaters, anglers, and swimmers. The park features a boat ramp with courtesy loading dock, a designated swimming beach, restrooms, trash receptacles, and an accessible fishing dock. A reservable group-use picnic shelter is available for day gatherings between 6:00 AM and 10:00 PM. A $5 day-use pass is required for boat launching and beach access, though holders of America the Beautiful passes, USACE Annual Passes, or active camping tags from USACE campgrounds are exempt. Stockton Lake offers nearly 300 miles of shoreline and is renowned for sailing, fishing for bass, crappie, walleye, and catfish, and wildlife watching including bald eagles during winter months. Those seeking overnight camping should look to other USACE campgrounds around the lake such as Hawker Point, Orleans Trail, or Cedar Ridge.
