About
Orleans Trail Campground sits on the northwest shore of Stockton Lake, a premier sailing and fishing destination in Missouri's Ozark region. The lake spans nearly 300 miles of shoreline and supports excellent populations of largemouth and smallmouth bass, crappie, white bass, walleye, and catfish. The campground's 959 acres are divided into Orleans Trail North and South, with tree-covered sites featuring picnic tables and fire rings. Orleans Trail North contains 73 non-electric sites along with the three shower houses and swimming beach. Orleans Trail South has 45 non-electric individual sites plus a group camping area with 12 electric and 2 non-electric sites. An equestrian trailhead with horse-keeping facilities is located in the South section, providing access to the 15-mile Stockton Lake Equestrian Trail. The surrounding landscape features native prairie grasses, rolling hills, and thick forests that host wild turkey, deer, great blue heron, and bald eagles.
Directions
From Stockton, Missouri, take State Highway 39 south approximately 1/2 mile to R.B. Road. Turn left and drive approximately 1/2 mile. Turn right on Blake Street, continue about 1/2 mile, and follow signs to the park area.
