About
Masters sits on the shores of Stockton Lake in the scenic Ozark Mountains of southwestern Missouri. The campground is managed by the US Army Corps of Engineers, Kansas City District. Sites include picnic tables, fire rings, and lantern posts. The area features nearly 300 miles of shoreline with a swimming beach, boat ramp, and an accessible fishing dock available to campers. Stockton Lake is renowned for its fishing opportunities, with waters home to smallmouth and largemouth bass, crappie, white bass, walleye, catfish, and sunfish. Sailing is especially popular here, with the lake hosting several races each year. Scuba diving is also permitted. The surrounding landscape features native prairie grasses, rolling hills, and thick forests. Wildlife in the area includes wild turkey, great blue heron, deer, and bald eagles.
