About

Ruark Bluff East Campground is a shaded U.S. Army Corps of Engineers facility located on Stockton Lake in the scenic Ozark Mountains of southwestern Missouri. The campground features 91 campsites including standard electric sites, non-electric sites, and walk-to tent sites, accommodating one RV and two tents or three tents per site. Two shower houses, a dump station, accessible fishing dock, swimming beach, and playground serve campers throughout the facility. A boat ramp is conveniently located just outside the campground entrance, providing easy access to the lake's nearly 300 miles of shoreline. Stockton Lake is renowned for boating and sailing, with several races held annually. The waters are home to smallmouth and largemouth bass, crappie, white bass, walleye, catfish, and sunfish, making it a popular destination for anglers. The surrounding landscape contains hundreds of acres of native prairie grasses, rolling hills, and thick forests that turn crimson in autumn. Wildlife including wild turkey, great blue heron, deer, and bald eagles inhabit the area. Several trails wind around the lakeshore, and the Stockton Lake Equestrian Trail continues approximately 15 miles between nearby campgrounds. Full-service marinas around the lake offer groceries, gas, and tackle.

From Greenfield, Missouri, take State Highway H north for 6.4 miles and turn right onto the park access road. Follow signs into the park area.
