Road Work- Kansas Department of Transportation will be constructing two roundabouts on U.S 24 near Tuttle Creek Lake this summer. Allow extra time to your travel schedule and be prepared for detours and possible minor traffic delays. KDOT urges motorists to stay alert and follow posted signs in all work zones. About
Stockdale Campground is a 188-acre park situated on the shores of Tuttle Creek Lake in the northern Flint Hills region of northeast Kansas. The campground offers 12 spacious campsites arranged in a compact draw along the lakeshore, each featuring 50 amp electric hookups, water hookups, a fire ring, and picnic table. Sites accommodate RVs and trailers up to 60 feet with gravel back-in driveways. Modern facilities include a shower and restroom building with flush toilets, and a dump station with rinse hose is located 0.3 miles up the main access road. The campground is managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and reservations are available through Recreation.gov. Tuttle Creek Lake spans nearly 11,000 acres of water and 20,000 acres of surrounding land, providing excellent opportunities for boating, fishing, picnicking, and wildlife observation. The area is home to bald eagles, white-tailed deer, Canada geese, wild turkeys, and abundant fish species including crappie and channel catfish. Nearby attractions include Konza Prairie, Kansas State University, and Fort Riley.
Directions
From the intersection of US-24 and K-13 at the west end of the dam, travel west on US-24/Tuttle Creek Blvd for 5 miles. Turn right on Riley County Road 895 and continue for 2 miles. Turn right again on Riley County Road 396/Stockdale Park Road and continue 2.5 miles to main campground. Note: Due to road closure, use Blue River Hills Rd for access instead of Stockdale Park Road.
